Logos

Dane County Department of Human Services partners and staff may use logos on official DCDHS work. If you have a question on how to use the logo files or which logo to choose, reach out to Communications Manager: buckingham.tanya@danecounty.gov.

Purpose

The Dane County Human Services logo was adopted in 2020. It conveys the strength of individualscoming together to thrive and create a beautiful flower representing safe, just, and caring communities. A program, activity, or initiative carrying the logo conveys to the community that it is led by DCDHS; a symbol that represents quality, commitment, and service to the people of Dane County. These guidelines will help providers and DCDHS staff select the proper logo to use in a variety of scenarios.

Guidelines

Below are several options for approved logos, at different sizes. All are optimized for specified uses, including a transparent background (you should never see a white box around the logo).

  • If resizing is necessary
    • Do not change more than 20% larger or smaller from the logo selected
    • Do not scale smaller than (1.25 inches), to ensure “Department of Human Services” is always visible
    • The smallest sizes do not require the vision statement to be visible
    • Scale equally in both directions (the logo should always be circular, not oval)
  • Spacing
    • Allow the logo to “breathe” by providing space between the edge of the page, or any text elements near it
